Sci-com Saturday School an Outreach Programme requests support for the development and running of a Saturday School programme for selected Ekurhuleni learners in Grades 10 to 12 for the period from 2025 to 2027.
W offer saturday classes organized for grade 10 and 12 learners from disadvantaged areas of Ekurhuleni and attending school in Tsakane; Kwa-Thema; Duduza; Gelusksdal and Wattville etc. These classes focus on the key subjects Computer Applied Technology, Mathematics, English and Physical Science, Life Science and Accounting. We will recruit highly experienced and qualified teachers with a sound track record of good results. The purpose of having both grades 10 and 12 is to ensure continuous.
The broad aim of our project is to provide support for FET phase learners from schools in the disadvantaged areas of Gauteng. The targeted learners will be those who show evidence that the additional tuition will enable them to do well in Matric and then register to study at Higher Education Institutions. They will register in the SET scarce skills areas.
